“Hiring Jess with Good News Doulas was the best investment we made for the birth of our first born baby girl. In fact, the money spent does not equate to the value we received. Jess pours her heart and soul into being a doula and I cannot recommend her enough.

I had a 36 hour labor where I developed preeclampsia, coupled with ICP and anemia. I started laboring at a birth center and ended up transferring to a hospital due to high blood pressures. There was a lot of decision making that happened during my labor and Jess was critical in guiding us through the options and helping my husband to make decisions. It seems obvious but labor can make it very hard to be fully present when decisions need to be made so having people who have the fully capacity to ask the right questions and engage in the decision making process is crucial. Jess was an essential member of that team for us.

Jess was also entirely spiritually present and believed in faith for the labor that I wanted. You are not just hiring a doula but you are also hiring a prayer warrior who is partnering with you and your family to see the birth of your baby realized. That kind of support is unmatched.

Jess has an incredibly calm demeanor but was also direct and clear with her suggestions. I never felt like she was too involved or not involved enough.

Outside of the labor and delivery, Jess was present for any questions I had and also was very encouraging when I went past my due date and found it difficult to wait. She has a way of knowing how you feel and encouraging you through understanding and prayer.

You do not realize how much you need a good doula until after your delivery. If you are reading this, I would not hesitate to hire Jess. ”
