Simonett’s Birth Story

“I cannot recommend Jessica highly enough! If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have had the birth I had always hoped for. While my midwife was wonderful, it’s just not the same as having someone you know and trust by your side throughout the entire process. Jessica shares our values, respected all my wishes, and advocated for me when the hospital staff suggested routine checks that I didn’t want.

When we arrived at the hospital, my water had broken, but I wasn’t in active labor yet, so the midwife couldn’t admit us. My husband didn’t want to go home, and Jess was all hands on deck. For an hour and a half in triage, she guided me through spinning babies techniques, and sure enough, I was officially in active labor and transferred to a room.

From there, everything happened so fast, and most of it is a blur. My contractions were so close together I could barely walk, but Jess was my rock. She reassured me, advocated for me, and somehow managed to be everything I needed—a calming presence, my biggest cheerleader, and even my personal bending machine!

She got me through every stage of labor and celebrated with us as we welcomed our beautiful third baby girl into the world. Thanks to her unwavering support, I achieved what I had wanted since my first birth: a beautiful, unmedicated, minimally assisted water birth.

I had a doula for my second birth and thought she was great, but Jess was truly the key to this experience. She was absolutely phenomenal, and I am so grateful for her!”
